Remote GP training – applications now open
Applications for the Remote Vocational Training Scheme’s 2011 intake are now open.
Additional places and new eligibility criteria will allow more doctors to access this Commonwealth funded program, which is now in its 10th year. Twenty two places are available nationally for 2011. Applications close 9 July 2010.
RVTS offers an alternative pathway to FACRRM and/or FRACGP/FARGP for GPs working in rural and remote locations, where accessing mainstream training is difficult or impractical. The curriculum is delivered via distance education and remote supervision.
