RVTS

The Remote Vocational Training Scheme (RVTS) offers training in rural and remote areas where accessing mainstream training is difficult. This Commonwealth funded program supervises and supports its registrars via distance education, allowing registrars to practice independently in some of Australia’s remotest locations.

RVTS is a small organisation, offering personalised learning and support via a combination of teletutorials, face-to-face workshops, on-site teaching visits and online learning resources.

The program has its own application process and training quota with an annual intake of 22. RVTS doesn’t place registrars; applicants must hold a position in rural and remote practice to qualify. Registrars can remain working in one location throughout their training. Contact RVTS directly for information on eligibility.
